I am having a problem with the upgrade. I can not find the dialog box appearing. Also, my update manager says nothing about the newer version available also when I have inserted a CD.

what tha _. Now they tell me... I've spent two days downloading the wrong ISO. they really have to put a big sign somewhere, is it possible to do a migration? i.e install a new partition, import stuff from the old installation then format the old partition then use gparted to resize the new partition to fill the remaining space?

But then again I'm sure it was my fault for not doing my research, sigh another two days... :-)

Edit: between this sentence and the last, I've downloaded 20MBs already. The torrent system seems much much much faster than HTTP. for me anyway. but just out of interest do you think my previous idea would have worked? he he
